Tollywood star Ram Charan and maverick Kollywood director Shankar’s highly anticipated pan-India political drama, Game Changer, is slated for release on January 10, 2025, as a Sankranti festive treat. Also starring Bollywood actress Kiara Advani in a lead role, Game Changer is about to create history by becoming the first Indian film to have a pre-release event in the USA.
It’s well known that acclaimed Tamil filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj is the storywriter of Game Changer. During a media interaction on the sidelines of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, Karthik made a few interesting statements about Game Changer. When asked if Game Changer’s teaser matched his vision, Karthik said that Game Changer is not his vision.
“It is not about Game Changer meeting my vision, because I was happy to see my story in Shankar sir’s vision, like how he is going to make this work excite me more. I feel honored to be part of Shankar sir’s film with Ram Charan garu. It feels very surreal because we grew up watching Shankar sir’s movies. Seeing my name as a story writer for this film is a great feeling. I am eagerly looking forward to Game Changer,” said Karthik.
On the work front, Karthik has just wrapped up Suriya and Pooja Hegde’s much-awaited romantic action drama, tentatively titled Suriya44. The film is scheduled to open in cinemas worldwide in summer next year. Karthik surprised everyone by completing the film’s shoot in a record 5 months.
