Game Changer: Shankar reveals what went into the making of Raa Macha Macha song

The second single, Raa Macha Macha from Ram Charan and Shankar’s Game Changer, will be out on 30th September. The makers revealed the release date through a special interview featuring master storyteller Shankar and sensational music director Thaman. The promo will be out on 28th September. This is the intro song in the film as said by the director.

Shankar highlighted what went into the making of this celebratory song. He said, “I did extensive research on music and culture in Andhra Pradesh. Also, we integrated other state cultures to give something more to the audience.”

Shankar added, “We included the dance forms Gussadi (Andhra Pradesh), Kommukoya (Andhra Pradesh), Tappeta Gullu (Andhra Pradesh), Ranapa (Odisha), Ghumra (Odisha), Hallaki (Karnataka), Goravara (Karnataka), Paika (Odisha), and Chhau (West Bengal) in the song.”

Shankar further said, “I want the song to be good visually, and also, it should have a different sound. I discussed the same with Thaman. It will be a celebration. Ram Charan is a very good dancer. Ganesh Acharya Master composed the dance moves. I don’t know whether I could reveal this or not. For a whole BGM, Ram Charan danced in a single shot. The music is so good extracting so many elements and cultures of various states. It will be a treat to Charan fans.”

Thaman said, “Getting all the cultures from the tip of Srikakulam to the end of Rayalaseema was very tough. Raa Macha Macha was amazing for us. We shot the song with 1000 dancers. I think people will groove to the song, enjoying the Andhra Pradesh culture once the song comes out.” It looks like Shankar and co. have come up with a massive plan to strike a chord with audiences nationwide.
