Game Changer: Telangana government approves ticket rate hikes

Ram Charan fans and moviebuffs have been waiting for Game Changer’s Nizam bookings for the past couple of days. After the Sandhya theatre stampede issue, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced in the Assembly that he wouldn’t allow benefit shows and ticket rate hikes. However when the industry personnel met CM recently and in this meeting Revanth Reddy assured the celebrities that he will be supportive to TFI always.

Revanth Reddy’s government has now walked the talk by approving ticket rate hikes for Game Changer. The official G.O. has been released, and accordingly, Game Changer is allowed a hike of Rs. 150 in multiplexes and Rs.100 in single screens for January 10. The permission for 1 AM shows was rejected, but the team was allowed to screen shows starting from 4 AM.

On the opening day, the ticket fare will be Rs. 400 for multiplexes and Rs. 250 for single screens. Compared to the recent biggies, Game Changer will have slightly lower prices. Here is the best part about the ticket hikes: Starting from day two, the ticket rate enhancement is limited to Rs. 100 in multiplexes and Rs. 50 in single screens. These hikes are applicable for ten days.

The reduced ticket rates from the second day will help the film significantly in attracting more footfall. If the content is good, Game Changer will have a superb long run at the Nizam box office. The makers came up with a superb pricing strategy without going for abnormal hikes. On day one the film will have six shows across the state, and from day two five shows are allowed. Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations bankrolled this biggie and it is directed by Shankar.
