The makers of the OTT hit ‘Gatham’ have won a memorable award for their second Telugu film, ID. The dark mystery thriller has won the top honor at the Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival. What’s more impressive is that ID has beaten the acclaimed Telugu movies such as Balagam and Sitaramam and the critically acclaimed Kannada film, Charlie 777, to win the award.

ID is directed by Kiran Reddy Kondamadugula and produced by Subhash Ravada and Bhargava Poludasu along with co-producers Harsha Pratap and Srujan Yarabolu (S Originals) under ChitrOM Entertainments banner. The film stars Bhargava Poludasu and Rakesh Galebhe in lead roles, while Sricharan Pakala is the music director. Hollywood DP Horacio Martinez (ASC Mentee) has cranked the camera, while Caterina Piccardo (MFA) has taken care of the Production Design. Telugu film editor Chota K. Prasad has edited the film.

ID has been creating ripples in the film festival circuit and has bagged nearly 37 awards, 31 official selections, 5 honorable mentions, and 4 nominations so far. ID will soon make its Canada premiere at the reputed Oakville Festivals of Film and Art, which is a qualifying festival for the Canadian Screen Awards (similar to the Oscars). The movie has been test screened to 600 audiences across India and USA to a rousing reception.
