Good news for fans: Lawyer hints at AR Rahman-Saira Banu’s reconciliation

Breaking the hearts of millions of fans, Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman and his wife Saira Banu took to X and announced their separation around a week ago. While the couple requested privacy and understanding, the separation led to nasty rumors about AR Rahman’s affair with his bassist Mohini Dey. However, Saira Banu herself ended all the speculations by stating that AR Rahman is a gem of a person.

And here’s some good news for all the dejected fans. Saira Banu’s lawyer, Vandana Shah, said in a latest interview with a podcaster that reconciliation between AR Rahman and Saira Banu is very possible. “I have not said that reconciliation is not possible. I am an eternal optimist, and I always talk about love and romance. The joint statement is quite clear. It talks about pain and separation. It’s a long marriage, and a lot of thought has gone into coming to this decision, but nowhere have I said that reconciliation is not possible,” said Vandana.

Vandana, however, refused to comment on alimony and went on to say that the custody of AR Rahman and Saira Banu’s three children remains undecided as the children are adults and are free to choose where they want to reside. ARR and Saira Banu were married for 29 years and are parents to three children.
