GV Prakash’s 700th song ‘Hey Minnale’ from Amaran gears up for release

Star Kollywood music composer GV Prakash Kumar is all set to release the 700th song of his career. Titled ‘Hey Minnale’, the song is a romantic number from Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi’s upcoming biopic on Indian Army Major Mukund Varadarajan. Hey Minnale will be unveiled tomorrow (Oct 4) and the exact time of the song’s release will be announced soon.

GV Prakash Kumar forayed into film music as a child playback singer and crooned several hit songs under his uncle AR Rahman’s composition. Aakathayi Okkadanta (Donga Donga), Chikku Bukku Rayile (Gentleman), Kuchi Kuchi Kunamma (Bombay), and Kuluvalilae (Muthu) were some of the 90s chartbuster songs composed by AR Rahman featuring GV Prakash’s voice as a child. GV later turned music composer with the 2006 Tamil film ‘Veyil’.

Amaran is directed by Rajkumar Periasamy and produced under Kamal Haasan in association with R Mahendran and Vivek Krishnani. The film is scheduled for its theatrical release on October 31 as a Diwali festive treat.
