It is well known that hero Mahesh Babu was first approached by maverick Kollywood director Shankar for the Tamil remake of Aamir Khan’s blockbuster film, 3 Idiots. However, Mahesh politely turned down the offer and left everyone surprised.
In a latest interview on the occasion of Dookudu’s 10th anniversary, the film’s director Sreenu revealed the reason why Mahesh turned down Shankar’s 3 Idiots remake, Snehithudu. Sreenu said that invited Mahesh to his farmhouse and gave him a dinner party just a day before they left for Turkey for Dookudu’s first schedule.
“During the dinner, I narrated a few punch dialogues and key scenes from Dookudu’s script and Mahesh was very impressed. He immediately called up Namrata and told her that he will not do Shankar’s Snehithudu. His confidence made me more responsible,” revealed Sreenu.
