Star hero NTR’s most eagerly awaited action drama, Devara, is set to release in cinemas worldwide on September 27. With the actor’s previous movie, the Oscar-winning RRR, becoming a historic success, all eyes are on Devara’s performance at the box office worldwide.

Thanks to the humongous hype around Devara, the film’s makers have clinched some record deals from the distributors. Nearly Rs 200 crores are riding on this magnum opus, and buyers are highly confident of getting their investments back once the film hits theaters and receives a positive response from fans.

As per the latest updates, in North America, Devara has to gross at least $5.25 million to reach the breakeven mark. NTR’s previous best was RRR, which grossed a whopping $14.35M in North America. Of course, the Rajamouli and Ram Charan factors had also helped the film amass such a huge amount. Whether NTR can single-handedly pull off the same feat with Devara remains to be seen. The film has collected close to $150K from the pre-sales so far, indicating a decent buzz in North America.

Also starring Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor as the antagonist and leading lady, respectively, Devara is being directed by Koratala Siva and produced by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Mikkilineni Sudhakar. The film’s soundtrack is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
