HYDRAA demolishes Nagarjuna’s N-Convention Centre; Actor reacts

This morning, The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection Agency (HYDRAA) demolished the N. Convention Centre in Hyderabad, which is owned by Telugu actor. The property is allegedly constructed on Tummidikunta Lake, occupying 1.12 acres within the Full Tank Level (FTL). The authorities arrived at the spot in the early hours and started razing.

Nagarjuna has now issued a statement in response to HYDRAA’s demolition. In his note, Nagarjuna wrote, “Pained by the unlawful manner of demolition carried out in respect of N Convention, contrary to existing stay orders and Court cases. I thought it fit to issue this statement to place on record certain facts for protecting my reputation and to indicate that we have not done any actions in violation of the law.”

Nagarjuna mentioned that not even an inch of the tank plan is encroached on. He added that the demolition was carried out wrongfully based on misinformation and even without issuing a prior notice. The actor made it clear that he would have carried out the demolition himself had the court decided against him. The Tollywood King will now seek relief from the Court in relation to actions carried out by the authorities.
