Kartikeya’s recent release, Bhaje Vaayu Vegam, is doing decent business at the ticket windows. Debutant Prashanth Reddy directed this film, which has Iswarya Menon as the female lead. Happy Days fame Rahul Tyson played an important role. Today, the team held a success meet in Hyderabad. During this a journalist asked Kartikeya why the latter is continuously taking risks by working with debut directors.
Kartikeya came up with a beautiful reply. He said, “To be frank, I don’t see if they are new or experienced directors. Today, I might not get the chance to work with Puri Jagannadh Garu and Rajamouli Garu. But who knows? The new directors I am working with might become the legacy carriers of Rajamouli Garu and Puri Jagannadh Garu. They might reach great heights in their careers.”
Kartikeya added, “Generally, debut directors work on their story for many years. If their first film becomes a hit, then they won’t have sufficient time for their next project. But they will put their heart and soul into their first film. Also, they take extreme care in presenting their heroes. I feel comfortable working with debut directors.”
