Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer high-budget entertainer, tentatively titled RC16, is one of the most eagerly awaited movies in Tollywood. The film will be directed by Uppena fame Buchi Babu Sana, and it will be high on comedy, as revealed by Charan himself at a recent event.
It was speculated a few months ago that acclaimed Kollywood star Vijay Sethupathi had turned down a crucial role in RC16. Now, the latest buzz reveals that Vijay Sethupathi had politely turned down RC16 as he was offered to play Ram Charan’s father’s role in the movie.
Apparently, Vijay Sethupathi told RC16 director Buchi Babu that his father’s characters in Uppena and the recently released Maharaja received immense acclaim and that he doesn’t want to get typecast in father roles. It’s worth mentioning that, during the promotions for Maharaja’s Telugu version, Vijay Sethupathi said that Buchi Babu had narrated RC16’s script to him and that the movie will be a sureshot blockbuster.
Given his popularity in the Tamil and Telugu states, Vijay Sethupathi could easily demand hefty paychecks. Instead, the actor is only looking for interesting scripts with exciting characters and not money. Vijay Sethupathi is eagerly waiting to act in a straight Telugu film, but it looks like it will be a long wait for him and his Telugu fans.
