Bollywood Action Superstar Sunny Deol joined hands with Telugu director Gopichand Malineni on the action drama Jaat. The film is jointly produced by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory. All eyes were on Gopichand as to how he would have presented the Hindi star. With the trailer, Jaat appears to be a film highlighting Sunny Deol’s strengths.
Sunny Deol is immensely popular among mass audiences, and his previous outing, Gadar 2, wreaked havoc at the North box office. Gadar 2 was his first hit in a long time, and with this film, Sunny Deol clearly understood what he was good at. He decided to play only larger-than-life roles, and Jaat is his second step towards it. Every frame of the Jaat trailer showcases Sunny Deol as a formidable force, evoking goosebumps.
Gopichand Malineni mastered the art of creating impactful mass moments, and the Jaat trailer is an example of it. The story is set in a small town of Andhra Pradesh, which is controlled by some evil forces played by Randeep Hooda and Viineet Kumar Siingh. However, the protagonist, hailing from Punjab, fears nothing and takes on the villains with all his might.
There is a whistle-worthy dialogue at the end, which will make the masses go bonkers. “Ye dhaai kilo ke haath ki taqat poora North dekh chuka hai. Ab South dekhega,” says Sunny Deol, which means South is now set to experience the power of his hand, which North witnessed earlier.
The trailer looks more like a Telugu film but has ample chances to work well among the North Audience. Production values are splendid, and the visuals are very good as well. Jaat also stars Regina Cassandra, Saiyami Kher, Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, and Swarupa Ghosh in pivotal roles. Thaman S is the music composer.
