After a slight delay, the second trailer of the most anticipated film, Kalki 2898 AD was unveiled by the makers. While the first trailer introduced the film’s world and its characters, the second trailer raised the stakes further with more focus on the story and emotions.
Kalki, the coming of avatar in Kali Yuga resides in the womb of Sumathi played by Deepika Padukone. Ashwattama portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan promises to save the child but Bhairava (Prabhas) tries to catch hold of Sumathi to win a bounty. Achieving a bounty can make Bhairava reach the Complex.
Later the trailer showcases the face off sequences between Prabhas and Amitabh. Also we are shown a few glimpses from the greatest battle fought, Mahabharata. Kamal Haasan says that humans will never change no matter how many opportunities they are given. The last segment of this new trailer is high on emotions with a moving soundtrack composed by Santosh Narayanan.
The director’s imagination and creativity to conceive something of this sort are praiseworthy. The movie is made on a whopping budget of 600 crores, and the visuals in the new trailer give us a hint that Nag Ashwin is the next big thing in Indian cinema. The making quality is stupendous and the new trailer leaves us wanting more.
Kalki 2898 AD will be out in theatres on 27th June in 2D, 3D, and IMAX formats. The advance bookings will commence soon in India. Ashwini Dutt bankrolled this flick under the Vyjayanthi Movies banner.
