Kamal Haasan’s first reaction after watching Kalki 2898 AD

Legendary actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan wowed his fans and movie lovers with his menacing portrayal of Supreme Yaskin, the god of the Complex, in the just released sci-fi thriller ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. The veteran stalwart interacted with the media after watching Kalki in Chennai.

Kamal said that his character in Kalki 2898 AD is limited to just a few minutes, and that his character will have more screentime in Kalki Part 2. “I took part in the movie’s shoot as a fan of cinema. Indian cinema is making a huge noise on a global platform. Director Nag Ashwin masterfully blended mythology and science fiction. He has immense patience, and he scripted and directed Kalki with a lot of patience,” said Kamal.

During Kalki promotions, Kamal said in an interview that it took him about a year to accept Supreme Yaskin’s role. Interestingly, Kamal, who is often hailed as one of India’s greatest actors ever, went on to reveal that he was not sure if he would do justice to the Supreme Yaksin character penned by Nag Ashwin.

Also starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Sobhana, Disha Patani Anna Ben, Pasupathy, Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Deverakonda, and others in key roles, Kalki 2899 AD is produced by Ashwini Dutt under Vyjayanthi Movies banner.
