Kangana’s Emergency gets censored – Runtime announced

Kangana Ranaut’s second directorial, Emergency, has faced multiple delays for various reasons. The most recent postponement, from September 20, 2024, to an indefinite date, was attributed to death threats received by CBFC members, as claimed by Kangana, which led to the film’s delay.

However, the latest update is that the film has finally passed the censor process, and Kangana took to social media to share the news. She also mentioned that the release date will be revealed soon. The film has received a U/A certification from the censor board with a few cuts, and the final runtime is set at 146 minutes (2 hours and 26 minutes), which is a reasonable length for a political drama.

Produced by Renu Pitti and Kangana Ranaut under the Manikarnika Films banner, Emergency features an ensemble cast that includes Shreyas Talpade, Anupam Kher, Bhumika Chawla, and others, alongside Kangana. The film’s music is composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar.
