Young hero Kiran Abbavaram’s Dilruba is gearing up for its theatrical release on March 14 as a Holi festive treat. Touted as a youthful entertainer, the film features young actress Rukshar Dhillon as the female lead, while debutant Viswa Karun is the director.
During Dilruba’s pre-release event last night, Kiran Abbavaram made a touching promise to all the struggling film aspirants in Hyderabad’s Krishna Nagar. “When I first came to Krishna Nagar, we had a team of 50 people, and we used to make short films. But I noticed at least 10 people quitting our team and going back to their villages as they couldn’t make it in the industry,” said the young hero.
Kiran went on to say, “With all your love and support, I am in a comfortable position now, and I urge all the film aspirants who come from villages and financially poor backgrounds to not end your dreams. I promise to support at least 10-15 struggling film aspirants every year. I feel it’s my responsibility to help them. More details will be revealed by my team very soon.”
Dilruba is being distributed by Mythri Movie Distributors LLP in the Nizam region. The film also features Kathy Davison, Satya, John Vijay, and others in prominent roles. Siddharth Anand Kumar, Ravi, Vikram Mehra, Jojo Jose, and Rakesh Reddy jointly bankrolled the movie, which has a soundtrack composed by Pushpa 2 fame Sam CS.
