Last night, star heroine Samantha took to Instagram and shared a story in which she countered Telangana Congress minister Konda Surekha’s derogatory comments on her divorce with Naga Chaitanya in a rather poignant and dignified way. Needless to say, the way Sam delicately handled the issue while standing up for herself is winning everyone’s hearts.
And it looks like Samantha’s touching post and the immense criticism since yesterday have finally made Konda Surekha to introspect and retract her nasty comments. The state minister of endowments took to X and tweeted to Samantha. The tainted minister explained that her comments were only meant to question a leader’s belittling of women and not to hurt Samantha’s sentiments.
Konda Surekha went on to tell Samantha that she admires the way she rose to fame on her own and takes her as an inspiration. Surekha concluded, saying that she unconditionally withdraws her comments if Sam or her fans feel offended. It’s worth mentioning that while Surekha didn’t tender an apology to Samantha, she did urge her to “not think otherwise.”
