Srinath Rajendran, the acclaimed Mollywood director behind Koothara with Mohanlal and Kurup with Dulquer Salmaan, is making his Bollywood debut with a gripping biographical crime thriller. The film will focus on the infamous conman Dhani Ram Mittal, known as ‘Super Natwarlal’ and ‘Indian Charles Sobhraj.’
Dhani Ram Mittal earned notoriety for stealing over 1,000 cars in broad daylight, freeing more than 2,000 criminals by impersonating a judge, and working as a station master with forged documents. He passed away in April 2024.
The film, based on Preeti Aggarwal and Chetan Unnial’s book MoneyRam, is currently being developed. Details about the cast will be announced soon.
Produced by Insomnia Media and Content Services Limited in association with Pretty Pictures, the movie will be shot in Hindi and released in Hindi, Malayalam, and Telugu, aiming to reach audiences across the nation. It is likely to go on floors in 2025.
