Latest : Pawan Kalyan comments on Allu Arjun

Pushpa 2: The Rule became a massive hit, but a tragic incident occurred during its premiere at Sandhya 70mm theater in Hyderabad, where a stampede resulted in the death of a woman called Revathi. Allu Arjun was briefly jailed in connection with the event but was later granted interim bail.

Until now, no Mega hero had publicly commented on the incident. However, for the first time, Power Star Pawan Kalyan, the Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh, shared his thoughts.

Pawan Kalyan said, “A minor issue was unnecessarily turned into a major controversy. Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, a leader who rose from the grassroots, has been supportive of the film industry, allowing benefit shows and ticket price hikes, which boosted earnings for films like Salaar and Pushpa 2. His support played a key role in the success of Pushpa 2.”

He continued, “I don’t have full details about what happened with Allu Arjun. The law is equal for everyone. While the police prioritise security, the theater staff should have informed Allu Arjun beforehand or at least explained the situation after he took his seat. It would have been better if someone from his team had reached out to the victim’s family sooner.”

Kalyan expressed his sorrow over the death of Revathi, saying, “The situation was blown out of proportion. There should have been earlier expressions of solidarity with the victim’s family. The lack of empathy and support fueled public anger. Everyone should have visited Revathi’s family and offered reassurance.”

He concluded, “Allu Arjun is burdened by the guilt of being linked to the tragedy, but cinema is a team effort, and blaming him alone isn’t fair. CM Revanth Reddy responded in his official capacity, and decisions are sometimes made based on the situation. Even Chiranjeevi used to watch films with fans, but he would go alone, in disguise.”
