Audiences are waiting for the release of Lokesh Kanagaraj and Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo. Lokesh will next move on to Thalaivar 171, which was announced recently. In a recent interview, Lokesh confirmed that the project with Rajinikanth won’t be a part of LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe).
For the last few days, rumors have been circulating on social media that Rajinikanth will quit acting after Thalaivar 171. Now Lokesh has quashed the rumors in an interview and gave a huge sigh of relief for Superstar fans. The interviewer asked Lokesh, “There are rumors that Rajini sir approached you for the film. Is it true?” The young filmmaker clarified that he was the one who approached Rajinikanth with the script and not the other way around.
Lokesh said, “It happened all of a sudden. I told the story to Anirudh long back. During the first schedule of Leo, Anirudh came to me and suggested that I should narrate it to Rajini sir. I wasn’t sure about it, but Anirudh said I should give it a try. The very next day, we went to Rajini sir’s house and narrated him the plot. He liked it very much.”
