Mahesh Babu’s Murari sets a humongous re-release record

Among all the yesteryear Tollywood movies that were re-released in the past couple of years, the craze and reception for Mahesh Babu’s movies need no introduction. And the Superstar’s latest re-release, Murari, has followed suit, and how!

Murari, the Krishna Vamsi directorial that was released in cinemas in 2001, made a comeback to the silver screens across the twin Telugu states and overseas on August 9, coinciding with Mahesh Babu’s birthday. As expected, the film has set a massive day 1 box office record among re-releases. Murari grossed Rs 5.40 crore worldwide on its opening day. Mahesh Babu fans went berserk outside and inside theaters playing Murari, and several pictures and videos of fans going euphoric are going viral on social media.

Murari also features Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre, Prakash Raj, Lakshmi, and noted actors in pivotal roles. N Devi Prasad, Ramalingeswara Rao, and Gopi Nandigam jointly bankrolled this acclaimed family entertainer. Manisharma composed a timeless audio album for the movie.
