Kollywood Superstar Rajinikanth’s pan-India gangster drama, Coolie, is one of the most eagerly awaited biggies in the country. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial is scheduled for release on August 14 as an Independence Day treat. Coolie’s box office clash with Hrithik Roshan and NTR’s War 2, which is also set to release on August 14, has made things even more interesting.
Meanwhile, Coolie has become a hot property in Tollywood. Apparently, as many as six Telugu producers are in talks with Coolie makers at Sun Pictures to snatch the film’s Telugu dubbing rights. The ongoing buzz reveals that the makers have demanded a whopping Rs 40 crore for Coolie’s Telugu version rights. The deal is yet to be locked, and some clarity will emerge in a few days.
Coolie also features Tollywood star Nagarjuna in a lead role. Bollywood star Aamir Khan, Sandalwood star Upendra, Malayalam actor Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, and others will be seen in pivotal roles in this high-budget entertainer. Anirudh Ravichander is the film’s music composer.
