The second trailer of Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD is garnering a phenomenal response from the audience. The face-off between Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan’s shocking look are creating a stir on social media. Apart from these elements, what caught the attention was the presence of Malvika Nair.
Before the trailer, no one knew she was part of this mega project. From this new trailer, it is clear that Malvika is playing Uttara from Mahabharata. She is the wife of Arjun’s son Abhimanyu. During the Kurukshetra, Arjuna and Ashwattama engage in a fierce battle, and a moment arrives when the warriors use their lethal weapon, Brahmastra.
Narada and Vyasa intervene, asking the warriors to withdraw their weapons as it could be devastating to the universe. Arjuna withdraws, but Ashwattama can’t retrieve it. Hence, he intentionally directs the Brahmastra at Uttara’s womb as he fails to kill Pandavas.
Ashwattama thinks that he can end the Pandavas lineage if he manages to kill Abhimanyu’s child. Lord Shri Krishna saves Uttara’s baby and curses Ashwattama to live forever with wounds. Hence it is believed that Ashwattama is still alive. Even in the trailer, we can see the visuals of Brahmastra attacking Uttara.
