After the superhit Bramayugam, Mollywood Megastar Mammootty came up with the commercial potboiler Turbo. The action drama had solid hype before its release, and hence, the movie opened to superb numbers at the box office. However, the actioner received mixed responses from the audience.
Though Turbo didn’t receive good word of mouth, Mammootty’s stardom came into play, and helped the film collect 70 crores gross in its lifetime. Earlier there were reports that Disney Plus Hotstar grabbed the streaming rights of Turbo, but here is the official confirmation. Sony Liv grabbed the digital rights of this Mammootty starrer, and the film will be available for streaming from August.
Directed by Vysakh, Turbo stars famous Kannada actor Raj B Shetty as the antagonist. Telugu comedian Sunil played a key role. The movie also features Anjana Jayaprakash, Sabareesh Varma, Dileesh Pothan, and Bindu Panicker in crucial roles. Mammootty produced this flick under his home banner, Mammootty Kampany.
