Marco, Malayalam’s most violent film, is now available for streaming on Sony LIV in all major Indian languages, including Telugu. The film, directed by Haneef Adeni, features Unni Mukundan as the lead.
Many had hoped the OTT release would feature an uncut version with extra blood and gory scenes to heighten the thrill. However, the makers announced that due to complaints raised to the Ministry of Broadcasting, they could not release the raw version.
In a statement, they clarified that, as a responsible production company, they had complied with all regulatory guidelines while preserving the film’s essence. Consequently, the OTT version is the same as the theatrical release.
This announcement disappointed fans who had been eagerly anticipating the uncut version, especially after Unni Mukundan had promised it.
Despite this, the film still boasts an impressive cast, including Siddique, Jagadish, Abhimanyu S Thilakan, Kabir Duhan Singh, Anson Paul, and Yukti Tareja. Produced by Shareef Muhammed, the music is composed by Ravi Basrur.
