Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s upcoming romantic family entertainer, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, is one of the most eagerly awaited Hindi movies in 2023. The film, which marks hotshot filmmaker Karan Johar’s directorial comeback after Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016), is gearing up for release on July 28.

And here’s an exciting update on RRKPK. The film, which is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 178 crore, is said to have recovered a humongous 90 percent of its budget through non-theatrical deals. Apparently, RRKPK’s production cost was Rs 160 crore, while another Rs 18 crore was spent on the print and publicity expenses. Of this, Rs 80 crore has been recovered through the Amazon Prime Video’s OTT deal, while another Rs 50 crore has been acquired from the satellite deal with Colours TV channel. Finally, Rs 30 crore has been pocketed from the audio rights deal with Saregama.

With nearly Rs 160 crore recovered from the non-theatrical deals, RRKPK needs another Rs 50 crore nett approximately to break even. Thanks to the entertaining trailer and songs, the film is expected to open well in cinemas this Friday.
