Mrunal Thakur started her career in Bollywood, but she became famous among the audience with Telugu films Sita Ramam and Hi Nanna. The actress stole the hearts with her magical performance in Sita Ramam, which is considered a classic by many. She recently appeared in a cameo in Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD.
The actress has now been roped in as the female lead in the Bollywood film Son of Sardaar 2. Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt played the protagonist and antagonist in Son of Sardaar, and they will feature in this sequel, too. However, Sonakshi Sinha, who played the leading lady in the first installment, won’t be part of Son of Sardaar 2, and Mrunal Thakur will replace her. For those who don’t know, Son of Sardaar is the official remake of SS Rajamouli’s Maryada Ramanna.
While there was no sequel to the original, the makers of Son of Sardaar developed a script for the second part, which they believe will impress the movie buffs. According to reports, the sequel will have a fresh story and doesn’t start where the first part ended. Punjabi filmmaker Vijay Kumar Arora will direct Son of Sardaar 2. The shooting will kickstart soon in Scotland.
