Megastar Chiranjeevi’s most eagerly awaited 157th project, tentatively titled Chiru157, has been launched with a formal pooja ceremony on this auspicious Ugadi festive occasion. The star-studded launch ceremony was held at Ramanaidu Studios this morning.
Mega157 was launched by star hero Venkatesh, who sounded the first clap for the muhurat shot. The camera was switched on by veteran producer Allu Aravind, while senior director K Raghavendra Rao directed the first shot. Director Anil Ravipudi is said to have penned a hilarious character to showcase Chiru in a never-before-seen vintage avatar.
Bollywood actresses Aditi Rao Hydari and Parineeti Chopra are said to be in talks for the female lead’s role. The film is being produced by Sahu Garapati and Chiru’s daughter Sushmita Konidela. Bheems Ceciroleo is the music composer. The film is being planned for a Sankranthi 2026 release.
