Bollywood’s latest horror-comedy, Munjya, featuring Sharvari, Abhay Verma, Mona Singh, and S. Sathyaraj in lead roles, has been making waves at the box office. Aditya Sarpotdar directs this film, which marks the fourth installment in the Maddock Supernatural Universe.
Recent reports reveal that Munjya, despite its lack of a star-studded cast, is on the verge of crossing the Rs. 50 crore nett mark at the box office. This underdog success story highlights the film’s quality and strong audience appeal.
After a slight dip in collections on its first Monday and Tuesday, the movie regained momentum over the weekend, earning a substantial Rs. 6.75 crore on Saturday alone, bringing its total to around Rs. 47 crore nett. By the end of the day, the movie is expected to join the Rs. 50 crore club.
One of the key factors in the film’s success is the lack of competition from other movies, which has given Munjya an open field to draw in audiences. Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik on a modest budget, the film is now enjoying profits. The vibrant musical score by Sachin–Jigar adds to the film’s appeal, enhancing its overall charm.
