Nag Ashwin explains the reason for splitting Kalki 2898 AD into two parts

Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s highly acclaimed sci-fi drama, Kalki 2898 AD, was released on June 27 and became a massive box office blockbuster worldwide. Today, the makers conducted a press meet with director Nag Ashwin.

In the press meet, Nag Ashwin explained the reason behind splitting Kalki 2898 AD into two parts. He said, “The movie was originally intended to be a single part. However, due to the complex nature of the story and the need to do justice to its four main characters, the decision was made to split it into two parts after the realization that one part wouldn’t be enough to capture the full essence of the story.” He also mentioned that 20 days of shooting has already been completed for the second part.

Kalki 2898 AD features stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Rajendra Prasad, and Shobhana, weaving together a spectacular story. The film is produced by the renowned production house Vyjayanthi Movies and features a soundtrack composed by Santosh Narayanan, who captivated audiences worldwide.
