Tollywood’s much-hyped sequel, Mad Square, hit the screens today. The film received decent reviews from critics and is off to a solid start at the box office on the expected lines. As the film started on a superb note, producer Naga Vamsi interacted with the press and made some interesting comments.
Naga Vamsi added, “Generally, there will be comparisons when a sequel is made to a hit film. I am confident that Mad Square will match Mad’s closing numbers on day one. People liked Mad since it had relatable elements, such as love tracks from college days. In the case of Mad Square, it is a mass film relying more on moments. Hence, the sequel will have more reach.”
Naga Vamsi added, “Tomorrow will be a little low due to the pre-festival effect. There will be a lot of hue-and-cry about the same. Hence, I am saying this. Sunday’s collections will be around the combined numbers of Friday and Saturday. Also, Monday will be massive. Mad Square will make unexpected numbers.”
