Nani and Vijay Deverakonda’s off-screen friendship shines at SIIMA 2024

Social media is always a double-edged sword, offering both opportunities for positive interactions and a platform for negativity. In Tollywood, fans of different actors often clash online, overlooking the fact that the stars themselves maintain strong relationships with each other that are only occasionally highlighted publicly.

A notable example is the rivalry between fans of Nani and Vijay Deverakonda. These fan conflicts, driven by trivial issues, rarely lead to meaningful resolutions. Meanwhile, Nani and Vijay Deverakonda maintain a sincere and friendly off-screen relationship. This was once again proven at an event.

At the recent SIIMA 2024 event in Dubai, Nani won the Best Actor award for his performance in Dasara. Vijay Deverakonda, who presented the award, spoke warmly of Nani. He admitted that he had never understood why fans referred to their favorite actors as “Anna,” but he would now start addressing Nani by that term. Deverakonda also shared fond memories of working with Nani on Yevade Subramanyam, which deeply moved the audience.

In his acceptance speech, Nani reciprocated the praise, acknowledging Vijay Deverakonda’s dedication to his craft and wishing him continued success. The two actors later hugged each other, further underscoring their strong bond despite online controversies and fan disputes.

The event also featured a touching surprise for Nani: a video of his son, Arjun, playing a lovely melody from Hi Nanna on the piano. Nani was deeply moved by this gesture and expressed his heartfelt thanks to the SIIMA organisers for the special tribute.
