One of the finest actors in the country, Vicky Kaushal, is gearing up to take the audience on a rollercoaster ride with his prestigious film, Chhaava. It is based on the life of the Marathi King Sambaji, the eldest son of Chhatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj. The movie features national crush Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead.
Chhaava was supposed to clash with Icon Star Allu Arjun’s much-awaited Pushpa 2, but the makers of the Vicky Kaushal starrer chose to postpone the movie at the request of distributors and exhibitors. There were rumors that Chhaava might arrive on January 10, 2025. Some media reports claimed Chhaava will arrive on February 19, 2025.
Here is the official confirmation from the makers. Chhaava will now open in cinemas on February 14, coinciding with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti on February 19. Produced by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films, the movie is directed by Laxman Utekar of Luka Chuppi and Mimi fame. Akshaye Khanna is playing a key role. AR Rahman is composing the tunes.
There is good anticipation among the movie buffs for this historical action drama. The teaser succeeded in attracting the audience, and now all eyes are on the theatrical trailer. Maddock Films has been delivering good content consistently, and we need to see if the production house will continue its good form with Chhaava.
