Telugu audiences have always supported good films, no matter the language. Whether it’s a star hero or a content-driven movie, if the film is good and gets enough visibility, people here will show up. That’s what makes the lack of promotion for Good Bad Ugly so surprising.
The film, starring Ajith and produced by a big banner like Mythri Movie Makers, is hitting theatres tomorrow. But when it comes to the Telugu release, it feels like the makers just didn’t bother. There were no proper promotions, no local buzz, and the trailer and songs were released only a couple of days ago – too last-minute to create any real impact.
Because of this, the advance bookings in Telugu states – even in major cities like Hyderabad—are shockingly low. There’s barely any noise around the film, and many people still don’t even know it’s releasing in Telugu. That’s not just a miss – it’s a clear reflection of how carelessly and poorly the film has been promoted. For a star like Ajith and a banner like Mythri, this level of negligence is hard to ignore.
What makes it worse is that the film has many familiar faces for Telugu audiences – Trisha, Simran, Sunil, Arjun Das, and more. But none of them were involved in Telugu promotions. Even Trisha, who’s quite popular here, didn’t show up for any campaign or interview.
With music by GV Prakash and a solid production team behind it, the film had everything going for it. But without proper planning and promotion, even big films can end up ignored and bombed at the box office.
