Varun Tej’s Operation Valentine is hitting the big screens on March 1. The movie is directed by Shakti Pratap Singh. Varun Tej plays an Air Force soldier in this film, which has Manushi Chhillar as the female lead. Varun Tej recently shot for a special interview with Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja to promote the film.
Ravi Teja asked Varun Tej to explain why the film was named Operation Valentine. Varun Tej said, “When we announced the film, many thought it was a love story set in an Air Force backdrop. The Pulwama attack happened on February 14, 2019, and 40 CRPF soldiers lost their lives in it. A human militant bomb has hit the CRPF convoy. India retaliated through the Balakot Air Strike. We did the film based on that incident.”
Interestingly, Hrithik Roshan’s recent film, Fighter, is also based on the Pulwama attack and Balakot air strike. We need to see what the Varun Tej starrer will offer the audience, as both films are based on the same incidents. Operation Valentine is the first aerial action Telugu film. It was simultaneously shot in Hindi as well.
