Pan-India stars Prabhas and Kriti Sanon’s highly-anticipated mythological magnum opus, Adipurush, is all set for a humongous release worldwide on June 16. Prabhas’ fans in the twin Telugu states are eagerly waiting to give this high budget movie a thunderous opening this weekend.
Until yesterday, there has been a lot of speculation regarding Adipurush’s ticket rates in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Rumors were afloat that the Andhra Pradesh government will respond to Adipurush makers’ plea favorably and give its nod to increase the ticket rates at all multiplexes and single screens across the state.
And here comes the official update. The YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led AP government has decided to not allow any price hike in multiplexes. However,.in a much-needed relief for Adipurush’s makers, buyers and exhibitors, the AP government is said to have given the permission to increase the ticket rates by Rs 50 per ticket at all the single screens across the state. The G.O. will be out anytime soon based on which Adipurush’s makers will discuss with the film’s distributors to either increase Rs 25 or Rs 50 Rs per ticket in single screens.
