Odela 2, headlined by Tamannaah Bhatia, is slated for a grand release on April 17, 2025. The supernatural thriller is a sequel to Odela Railway Station, which was spearheaded by Hebbah Patel. While the first part premiered directly on Aha, the makers are betting big on the sequel. The team spent close to Rs. 25 crores on the sequel, and they are already in the profit zone with theatrical and non-theatrical deals.
The latest update reveals that the post-theatrical streaming rights have been sold to Amazon Prime Video for a whopping Rs. 18 crores. The producer is still holding talks with prominent channels for the satellite deal. Kannada actor Vasista Simha played the villain in Odela Railway Station, who goes on a killing spree. He targets only newly married women, and his character gets killed in the end.
In Odela 2, Vasista’s spirit returns to the village and starts causing trouble, but Tamannaah intervenes. Ashok Teja is the director, whereas Sampath Nandi handled the story, screenplay, dialogues, and direction supervision.
