Tamil star Vijay’s prestigious pan-India action drama, Jana Nayagan, is scheduled for release on January 9, 2026, as a Pongal festive treat. The film marks Vijay’s last project before his political entry ahead of the 2026 general elections.
As per the latest buzz, Jana Nayagan’s digital premiere rights have been acquired by the leading OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. Apparently, the makers have sold the film’s digital rights for a whopping Rs 121 crores to the streaming giant.
Jana Nayagan also features star heroine Pooja Hegde in a lead role, while Bollywood star Bobby Deol plays the main antagonist. H Vinoth is directing this crazy project, while K Venkat Narayana of KVN Productions banner is bankrolling it on a massive scale. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music.
