Netflix is one of the most popular OTT platforms worldwide, known for its vast range of content. However, it seems to be confused about the release of the Telugu movie Pushpa 2, starring Allu Arjun.
We were among the first to report that Netflix had announced Pushpa 2: Reloaded would release on January 30, 2025. The announcement first appeared on the Netflix app in the “Coming Soon” section, stating the release date. However, this announcement was quickly removed. Later, Netflix announced on social media (Instagram and X) that the movie would be released “soon” in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. The Hindi version was not mentioned, which led to confusion among fans. The next day, Netflix updated the app again, confirming the release of Pushpa 2: The Rule (Reloaded version) on January 30, 2025, along with a countdown timer.
Things took another strange turn when Netflix listed two different titles for Pushpa 2. One version mentioned no extra footage (Pushpa 2: The Rule), while the other indicated the film would include 23 additional minutes of footage (Pushpa 2: The Rule Reloaded). This led to speculation that Netflix might release two versions of the movie.
When the film finally released on January 30, 2025, at midnight (12 AM), only the Reloaded version, with the extra 23 minutes, was available. While this cleared up part of the confusion, there was still more to come.
Despite earlier mentions, Netflix added the Hindi version of the movie, which it had initially stated would not be available at launch. However, the Kannada version, which had been promised, was missing.
This left many viewers wondering why Netflix excluded the Kannada version while including the Hindi version. Typically, OTT platforms hold back the Hindi version to meet industry norms, but the missing Kannada version remains unexplained.
Fans are now waiting for an official statement from Netflix to clarify whether this was a mistake or a technical issue. Many are also wondering why Netflix seems so confused about Pushpa 2. Until then, the confusion remains.
