Addressing thousands of his fans and Janasena supporters at the Kathipudi public meeting as part of his Varahi Yatra this evening, actor-politician Pawan Kalyan has made some sensational statements against the ruling YSRCP government.
“They had hatched a huge conspiracy to defeat me in the 2019 general elections. For example, Bhimavaram had only 1 lakh votes, but 1.08 lakh votes were polled last time. They’re now planning to spend over Rs 200 crore to defeat me. But I will see who has the guts to stop me from entering the Assembly this time. Janasena will royally enter the Assembly and stand for people’s welfare,” Pawan said in his speech.
It’s well known that, after forming Janasena Party in 2014, Pawan had unsuccessfully contested in the 2019 general elections and suffered a shameful defeat. His party had won just a single assembly seat, while Pawan had lost both Bhimavaram and Gajuwaka constituencies.
