Released in 2001, Pawan Kalyan and Bhumika Chawla’s romantic drama, Kushi, ended up being an industry hit. The film was a remake of Kollywood stars Thalapathy Vijay and Jyothika’s Kushi, and it was directed by popular actor-filmmaker SJ Suryah.
During Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’s recently concluded pre-release event, the film’s heroine, Priyanka Mohan, urged SJ Suryah, who plays the antagonist in the movie, to make Kushi 2 soon and cast only Pawan Kalyan in it because only he can do justice to the film. The young beauty’s comments became controversial, with Vijay fans trolling her.
And in a latest interview while promoting Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, SJ Suryah revealed that he had narrated Kushi 2’s script to Pawan Kalyan a long time ago and that even though Pawan loved the story, he politely turned down the project, saying that he can’t do love stories at this point in time. SJ Suryah went on to add that the story will suit Thalapathy Vijay, Nani, and Ram Charan. Well, is the Kushi sequel on the cards then? Only SJ Suryah can answer this.
