The makers of Prabhas’ sci-fi action thriller have put an end to the long wait of fans and announced that the movie is titled Kalki 2898 AD. All these days, Project-K was the working title used by the movie unit, and today the makers apprised what K means. The big reveal was done at the San Diego Comic-Con.
Along with the title, the makers have released the first glimpse, which is mind-blowing. “When the world is taken over by darkness, a force will rise,” says the glimpse, which gives us an idea about how the movie will be. We see people undergoing hardships, but Prabhas comes as their savior.
The glimpse has hit it out of the park, and it shows how ambitious the project is. It looks no lesser than a Hollywood film and also has a mythological touch. The dystopian setting is excellent, and it seems Vyjanyanthi Movies have gone all out for this sci-fi action thriller. Kalki 2898 AD is surely the next big thing in Indian cinema, which has an ample chance to attract foreign audiences just like RRR.
Along with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Pasupathy, we get to see some Hollywood actors in the glimpse. The expectations have surely surged after the glimpse. Surprisingly, the glimpse doesn’t have a release date. If the glimpse is anything to go by, then all the box office records in India are in danger for sure.
Nag Ashwin proved his mettle with Mahanati and Yevade Subramanyam, and now he is aiming to strike big with Kalki 2898 AD. Stalwarts Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan are also part of this project. Disha Patani is in for another key role. Santosh Narayanan is composing the tunes.
