By now, it is certain that Kalki 2898 AD featuring PAN India star Prabhas will not be arriving in cinemas on 9th May due to the general elections. All eyes are on the new release date, and there have been multiple speculations about the same.
“The makers are planning to bring this big-ticket sci-fi entertainer to the theatres on May 30th,” revealed a source close to the movie unit. It won’t take much time for the team to lock the final edit, but the release date is deferred from May 9 due to the ongoing political heat. The official announcement about the release date is said to be around the corner, and once that comes out, the marketing activities will also kickstart.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, this tent-pole film also features Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Disha Patani in vital roles. Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan played a guest role. Ashwini Dutt produced the movie under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies. Santosh Narayanan composed the tunes.
