Pan-India star Prabhas’ popularity in Japan needs no introduction. The massive success of the Baahubali franchise and Salaar made Prabhas the most successful Indian movie star in Japan. The actor is all set to greet his Japanese fans yet again.
It was earlier reported that Prabhas’ blockbuster sci-fi mythological magnum opus, Kalki 2898 AD, will release in Japan on January 3, 2025, coinciding with Shogatsu, Japan’s New Year festival. The film’s Japanese version will be distributed by Twin, the leading Japanese distribution house.
As per the latest updates, Prabhas and Team Kalki will soon be flying to Japan to promote their movie ahead of its theatrical release. Directed by Nag Ashwin, this high-budget entertainer also featured Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. Legendary actor Kamal Haasan essayed the antagonist’s role in this Ashwini Dutt production. Kalki 2898 AD had grossed over Rs 1,100 crore at the global box office during its initial release.
