Pushpa 2: Petition filed in Telangana High Court against ticket rate hikes

Icon Star Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 is just a couple of days away from hitting the big screens. The film was granted never before hikes in Telangana, which came as a shock to movie buffs. For premiere shows that will be screened on December 4 evening, the ticket rate is capped at Rs. 1200, while the prices will be Rs. 531 (multiplexes) and Rs. 354 (single screens) for the regular shows.

The latest news is that a petition has been filed in the Telangana High Court against the ticket rate enhancement G.O. The hearing will take place tomorrow, and we need to see what the court decides. Generally speaking, the producer has all the rights to determine the price for his product, and hence, the judgment is expected in favor of the movie team.

However, the makers are receiving backlash from netizens because of their premium pricing strategy. The movie is expected to get solid hikes in Andhra Pradesh, too, and a G.O. will be out shortly with the new rates. Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead in this action drama. Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar produced this biggie under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers. Fahadh Faasil played the antagonist.
