Veteran Tollywood actor Mohan Babu has been mired in several controversies of late. After being booked by the Pahadi Shareef police following a complaint by his son Manchu Manoj, Mohan Babu had another case filed against him for attacking a journalist and causing a serious injury during a heated altercation at his residence last week. Mohan Babu was later admitted to the hospital and is currently recuperating at his residence. He recently met the injured journalist at the hospital.
Meanwhile, Rachakonda Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu has threatened to arrest Mohan Babu if he doesn’t respond to their notice to attend the investigation in connection with the assault case. The senior cop informed the media that Mohan Babu had sought time till December 24 and that they have instructed the senior actor to produce a medical certificate during the investigation.
“Mohan Babu had requested some time till December 24. Even the court has granted him permission. We will proceed as per law and arrest Mohan Babu if he doesn’t cooperate with us and attend the investigation after December 24,” the Commissioner said. The senior police cop also clarified that Mohan Babu’s guns do not fall under the Rachakonda Commissionerate limits and that the actor has deposited his guns at Chandragiri Police Station in Chittoor.
