Rajkumar Hirani plans a third installment for his iconic franchise

Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, was a decent grosser at the ticket windows. The film marked the first collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Hirani but its content didn’t live up to the expectations completely. Hirani’s previous outings were outstanding, and hence, Dunki disappointed a section of the audience.

In a recent event, Hirani revealed his plans to make Munna Bhai 3. He said, “I have five half-finished scripts for Munna Bhai 3. On one script, I spent six months. It reached the interval, but it didn’t go beyond that. There is a Munna Bhai LLB, Munna Bhai Chal Base, Munna Bhai Chale Amreeka, and more.”

Hirani added that the most important factor would be making the third installment better than the first two films, Munna Bhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munna Bhai. “I have a unique idea. Of course, over the course of 100 years of cinema, everything has been said. I am working on that idea. Sanju might come home and threaten me to get done with the next. He really wants to do another Munna Bhai film,” said the legendary filmmaker.
