The Telangana Anti Narcotics Department officials nabbed 30 people, including star heroine Rakul Preet Singh’s brother Aman Preet Singh, in connection with international drug peddling. The officials found that 2.6 kg of cocaine was being brought to Hyderabad for sale.
Interacting with the media, DCP Srinivas of the Rajendra Nagar Cyberabad Police said that they have arrested 30 potential customers and 5 drug dealers, while Aman Preet Singh has been identified as a drug consumer. The narcotics sleuths recovered 199 grams of cocaine, 2 passports, 2 two-wheelers, and 10 cellphones from the arrested.
The DCP further said that legal action is being taken against the arrested under the NDPS Act. The Telangana government is hellbent on eradicating the drug menace in the state. Recently, CM Revanth Reddy requested Tollywood stars to release video bytes urging citizens to quit drug abuse. Aman Preet Singh had acted in a couple of Telugu and Punjabi movies.
