Tollywood stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR share a remarkable bond off-screen and their friendship played a key role in bringing SS Rajamouli’s epic RRR to life – a film that became the first Telugu movie to win an Oscar.
The recently released Netflix documentary, RRR: Behind & Beyond, offers a deeper look into the making of this cinematic masterpiece. In the documentary, Ram Charan, who played Alluri Sitarama Raju, opened up about a moment of envy toward his co-star and friend Jr NTR, also known as Tarak. Charan admitted he felt jealous during the Komaram Bheemudo song, where Tarak delivered a powerful and deeply emotional performance using just his eyes.
Director SS Rajamouli, in the documentary, also praised Tarak’s explosive entry and other scenes. Packed with such fascinating insights, the documentary celebrates how Rajamouli, Taraka Ramarao, and Ram Charan came together to craft a movie that made history.
