Rashmika trolled heavily for getting confused between Okkadu & Pokiri

After mesmerizing audiences with her performance in Animal, Rashmika Mandanna once again stole hearts with her heartwarming portrayal in Pushpa 2. The monologue scene featuring the actress in the Jathara sequence is winning the hearts of all. Recently, Rashmika participated in an interview in which she was asked which was the first film she watched in a theatre.

Rashmika replied, “It’s Ghilli. I always keep saying that I love Thalapathy Vijay sir. Because he was the first actor I watched in a theatre. I recently learned that Ghilli is the remake of a film called Pokiri. I didn’t know that till now. I performed for the song ‘Appadi Podu’ for the majority of my life.”

Ghilli is actually the remake of Mahesh Babu and Gunasekhar’s blockbuster Okkadu. As Rashmika Mandanna got confused between Okkadu and Pokiri, netizens started to troll her. Okkadu is a film that has set benchmarks for commercial entertainers in Telugu, and hence, the actress was bashed heavily.

Rashmika has now apologized to fans for her mistake. Rashmika wrote that she realized her mistake immediately after the interview. The actress remarked, “As soon as I realized I made a mistake, I knew social media wouldn’t spare me. Sorry, sorry, my bad. But I love all their movies. It’s okay.” Interestingly, Rashmika got the opportunity to share screen space with both Thalapathy Vijay and Mahesh Babu.
